System Status - December 2006
12/30/06 - All services are online and operational. Our main web and mail server was taken down for maintenance last night and received a much-needed memory upgrade. Also, we had forgotten about a change made last year: the server that we've been describing here as the secondary DNS server is in fact not currently being used for secondary DNS; the machine being used for secondary DNS has been up and running the whole time. The machine that has been down was an unused database server, and has now been fixed. We will be taking the main web and mail server down again Wednesday night January 3rd for further maintenance and upgrades.
12/29/06 - Our web and mail server was offline for a couple of hours today due to a router hardware failure; the router has been replaced. Our secondary DNS server is still offline, but we're on-site working on replacing the motherboard with something that works. We have no ETA yet. All other services are online and operational.
12/18/06 - Our secondary DNS server is still offline; we should have it fixed by the end of the month. All other services are online and operational. We've just fixed a long-standing Sendmail configuration problem that caused mail sent between domains hosted by SlickHosting.com to have the return address mangled; hopefully no other problems will arise from this configuration change, but if anything seems amiss, let us know.
