System Status - March 2002
3/31/02 - Happy Easter! All services are online and operational.
3/28/02 - All services are online and operational.
3/27/02 - Due to a glitch in our backup system, the main hard drive on our web and mail server filled up. This caused problems with e-mail services. The issue has been resolved, and the backup scripts have been updated to prevent this from happening again. All services are now online and operational.
3/25/02 - All services are online and operational.
3/24/02 - Our main Web server and SQL server rebooted due to a power failure at about 2:15pm MST today. All services are now online and operational.
3/23/02 - Our SQL server went down due to a hardware failure just after midnight MST. Customer Web sites that rely on SQL were not functioning. The problem turned out to be a loose power connector to the hard drive; the drive lost power and the system crashed. The issue was resolved within an hour, and should not happen again. We apologize for the inconvenience.
3/22/02 - All services are online and operational.
3/20/02 - All services are online and operational.
3/18/02 - Our Internet connection has been going up and down for several hours at a time today due to problems at our ISP. This is not related to yeaterday's attack. We apologize for the inconvenience.
3/17/02 - An attack was launched against our main server today at 3:06pm MST. The attacker made thousands of FTP connections, apparently trying to guess our root password. We have blocked the originating IP address and reported the incident to the responsible ISP. We are continuing to monitor the situation.
3/15/02 - All services are online and operational.
